Art that resonates with nature

Grounding & connecting with the Earth

I listen to the land speak and paint it’s wisdom, following in the footsteps of our ancestors.

Allowing the lands energy to embody my work, for it was created from it (and holds its heart) , shaped with wild tools and materials.

Creating art that resonates with nature, strengthening empathy with the Earth and channelling its power. Capturing how she vibrates, moves, feels, loves and remembers. Reminding that we are one, not separate.

Grounding the viewer to the Earth, initiating a deep connection to wild landscapes.

Aligning with the energies of the Earth so that we can walk through its lands with love, respect and care.

I am a landscape artist who uses my creativity as a tool to connect to the land. I produce work that resonates with nature and strengthens the viewers empathy and love for the Earth.

I am based in the Scottish Highlands, which provides endless inspiration due to its powerful, unforgiving landscapes. The beauty of its raw charm is calling many to reconnect to it’s ancient energy and to use its grounding power to connect to the Earths elements and align with nature.

I create simplified abstract landscapes by removing detail to capture the essence of a place. My work takes you on a journey to follow in the footsteps of our ancestors across these scared lands to arrive at a place of respect, peace and appreciation.

I focus much of my work in my local area and in particular the Cromarty Firth and its rugged shoreline. I found a deep connection to this land, and I am proud to call it home and to capture its beauty in my own way.

The more I connect the more the Earth reveals its plan. My calling to capture the energy of the land onto canvas. To interpret the sounds, smells and texture into colours and lines. To paint the language of the Land, I must listen to the earth speak.

I create a record of the Land’s energy by allowing my art to be created by it. To be shaped by stick, feather, leaf and water. Embodied by the earth and given life with earth pigments.

I want my work to act as a connection to the Earth by matching the vibration of the land so that it resonates and opens a connection with nature. I aim to ground the viewer to the Earth, initiating a deep-rooted personal connection to wild landscapes.

If everyone takes time to slow, reflect and connect with nature then there will hopefully be more respect and protection of the Earth. I feel that Art is a powerful tool in this and a way that I can contribute to this energy shift.
